Cicada as they shed their skin.

The challenges of a snails life.

The life cycle of the monarch butterfly.

Week 7

This week we continue observing our tadpoles as they turn into froglets. We are also beginning to investigate other creatures and their life cycle beginning with the butterfly and then on to snails. I expect and encourage your child to share their growing knowledge about these creatures as well as how we can find out about them. We will add any facts and information that your child brings from your discussion to our knowledge poster. Enjoy your week!

Week 6

Exciting News! Our tadpoles have back legs! The children have been very excited this week as they noticed the tadpoles (or polliwogs) have developed their back legs. They have been bring in playground friends to have a look. Fantastic sharing of knowledge. We also made a display to show the life cycle of a frog. Many of you will be able to see our tadpoles and display when you come for parent interviews next week. See you then!
